Every stroke is for three charities that change lives across the UK. Here is who they are, what they do and why we chose them.

Meningitis NowThe UK's leading meningitis charity, saving lives and rebuilding futures through research, awareness and support for everyone affected.
Why we chose them
Barney died of meningitis in 2005 at three years old. Raising awareness of the illness has been part of Rod's life ever since.

Get A-HeadThe Get A-Head Charitable Trust has fought head and neck cancer for more than 30 years by funding research, specialist equipment and support for patients and their carers.
Why we chose them
We're raising money for Get A-Head in Barney's memory, as Rod did when he cycled the length of Britain with Lily and Toby.

The Veterans CharityFast, practical help for UK veterans facing hardship: food, utilities, clothing and the everyday essentials, when they're needed most.
Why we chose them
Phil and Gary serve in the RAF Regiment. The charity backed their Atlantic row and Gary works closely with it, in recognition of the support veterans need.
Where your money goes
How your donation is shared.
Donations are made on GiveWheel, a UK fundraising platform. GiveWheel passes them to the three charities in a fixed split: 47% to Meningitis Now, 47% to Get A-Head and 6% to The Veterans Charity.
GiveWheel pays charities every month, on the 1st, while the fundraising is still going on.
If you're a UK taxpayer you can add Gift Aid when you give. It adds 25p to every £1 at no extra cost to you.
